Good Morning Precious and Dearly Loved Saint and Child of
Our Abba Father!
“From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point
of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we know
him no longer in that way.” 2 Corinthians 5:16.
The New Revised Standard Version (Anglicized Edition). “So we have stopped evaluating others
from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a
human point of view. How differently we know him now!” NLT. “From
now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have
known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him in this way.”
Holman Christian Standard Version.
So then, from now on we do not think of anyone from a human point of
view. Even if we did think of the Messiah from a human point of view, we don't
think of him that way anymore.” International Standard
Version (©2012). “So from now on we don't
think of anyone from a human point of view. If we did think of Christ from a
human point of view, we don't anymore.” GOD'S WORD® Translation
(©1995).
“Therefore for the future we know no one simply as a man. Even if
we have known Christ as a man, yet now we do so no longer.” Weymouth New Testament. “Therefore
from now on know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ
after the flesh, yet from now on know we him no more.” King James 2000
Bible (©2003).
The word “flesh” here is the Greek
word “Sarx”. This word refers to that
which is fleshly, earthly, worldly, bodily, carnal, human nature, weak,
frail…… All these versions of the
Bible are saying that we view no one through the “sarx”. The imference then if we are not to view
anyone from a human or fleshly point of view, that we view ourselves and others
through the eyes of the Spirit!
Verse 17 says right after that says,
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has
passed away; behold, the new has come.”
A new creation, is something that never existed before, has come. WE have become new in a way that didn’t
exist before. Before, we were mere human
beings, now, we have become one spirit with God, and glorified as Jesus
IS! We have not become like Jesus was
when He walked and lived on the earth.
He was resurrected in glory and we were raised with Him in His glory as
well! Glory is the substance of God, the
substance of heaven, not merely God’s opinion about us!!!!
We were mere human beings, but that person who was a mere human
being is gone, and the new creation has come!
We have been given and filled God’s Holy Spirit, His Glory, we have been
given a brand new heart from the Father, and we have been given the mind of
Christ! “Therefore, if anyone is in
Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has
come.” “And those he predestined,
he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also
glorified.”
"Glorifying (1392 /doksázō) God"
means valuing Him for who He really is. For example, "giving
(ascribing) glory to God" personally acknowledges God in His
true character (essence). The
glory of God is God in His true nature and essence, not only God’s opinion. “I have given them the glory that you gave
me, that they may be one as we are one.” John 17:22. Some people think that the glory used here
is just God’s opinion about us, like how a person might glory in something,
esteem something very highly.
God
didn’t just give us His opinion of Jesus, He gave us the substance and the
essence of His Glory and because we have the actual substance of His Glory in
us by the Spirit, then God’s opinion of us is one where He glories in us. When Jesus says we have become one with Him
and He has given to us the glory that the Father gave to Him, He is not saying
God is only giving His opinion of us , I believe He is saying He has given to
us all that He is that is divine, heavenly, supernatural essence and nature!!!!!
“For the entire fullness of God's nature dwells bodily in Christ” Holman Christian Standard Bible (©2009). “because all the essence of deity inhabits him in bodily form.” International Standard Version (©2012). “For it is in Christ that the fullness of God's nature dwells embodied, and in Him you are made complete.´ Weymouth New Testament.
I believe that when we became a new
creation, we were given the divine, supernatural, miraculous… nature of God in
its fullness and completeness of His Glory!
“And God raised us
up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 2:6. We have been raised
up and now live in the heavenly realms.
The heavenly realms are everything divine and godly.
“Set your minds on
things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2. “Since
you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities
of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think
about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.” NLT. We are told here to set our hearts
and minds on the heavenly, godly, Spiritual realities; NOT on earthly, worldly,
carnal, or fleshly or human things!
In the heavenly, Spiritual, and glorified realm, there is
nothing fleshly, worldly, carnal or human.
The human realm is filled with sin, weakness, disease, fear,
condemnation… In the heavenly realm,
none of this exists in even the remoteness of ways!!!! In heaven, everything is filled and
completely glorified, god-like!
Carnality, human flesh does not exist in the kingdom of heaven where we
have been raised with, and are seated with Christ!!! Human flesh is filled with death and decay,
it is impossible for human flesh to be in heaven!!! There is NOTHING human, carnal, earthly in
the kingdom of heaven!
“If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. Thus
it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”;e
the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual
that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. The
first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. As
was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man
of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Just as we have borne the
image of the man of dust, we shallf
also bear the image of the man of heaven.
I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit
the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.” 1 Corinthians 15:
44-50.
“We have become Spiritual beings; we are no longer mere human
beings any longer!!!! But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you
will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are
against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for
these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to
do. But
if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” Galatians 5:16-18.
Are you a human being of the flesh or are you a Spiritual
being filled with the essence, nature and substance of the Glory of God? SHALOM!!!!!!!!
