Feelings and Faith!

Hello Precious One!

Living by feelings has been a big problem for most people, including myself!   We have looked to our feelings to determine Truth about ourselves, others and the world around us.   The problem is that feelings were never intended to be our source of Truth!   Feelings are just reactions to our thoughts, beliefs, even the deep ones that are in our subconscious, and circumstances around us.

  Our hearts are such deep and complex entities.  Our entire life, all events, all feelings, thoughts, attitudes….  Even from the time of conception, are stored there.  Our feelings are reactions to what is in our hearts.   Feelings are based on our very own experiences. 

 When we became born again, the old self in all of its fallen state, was crucified with Jesus on the Cross.   “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live.”  New life came into us, the Life of Christ.  “For you died, and your Life is now hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ, who IS your Life is revealed….” Colossians 3:3-4. 

  At salvation, we became brand new creations.  The problem is that all of old thoughts, feelings, and attitudes from the old heart in the past are still present in our memories.   At salvation, not only were given the fullness of the Life of Christ, His Spirit, but we were given a new heart as well.     All of this salvation happened in the Spirit realm. 

 Faith is the gift of God to receive, belief, access, manifest, and appropriate the Spirit realm on the earth!   So now, “We live by faith, not by sight (or feelings).” 2 Corinthians 5:7.       “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18.

   Jesus speaking to Thomas said, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29.      “Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9. 

       We see and experience Jesus, the Father and Holy Spirit through Faith.   Faith connects the heavenly Spiritual to the earth!       “Consequently, Faith comes from hearing the message (by the Holy Spirit), and the message is heard through the Word (rhema word; this is the word spoken by the Spirit to our heart) of Christ.” Romans 10:17.         This is why we know so many people who can quote a myriad of scriptures, yet there is no Life or Love from the Spirit coming from them!  They have read the Word with their intellect.

 Faith is substance that comes to the heart by the Holy Spirit, not information to the head!!!!   “Faith is the substance (substance of heaven) of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1.    Faith, by the Holy Spirit, makes real to our hearts the unseen realities of the heavenly Spiritual realm, while on the earth!        So as we drink of the Spiritual realities, heavenly realities, the substance of heaven, manifests in our life on the earth!  We may not feel or experience this happening, but the actual substance of heaven is being made into reality while on the earth as we drink and abide in the Spirit! 

 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe IN YOUR HEART that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified.” Romans 10: 9-10.                         So even though we may not see, feel, or experience the reality of the Spiritual heavenly realm, we drink of the Truth with our heart, by the Spirit! 

  “I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened (Holy Spirit does this) in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the glorious inheritance IN the saints, and His incomparable great power for us who believe (with our heart, not who only have intellectual knowledge).” Ephesians 1:18-19.     So for our faith to increase in strength on the earth, we listen to the Holy Spirit speak the Rhema Word of Christ to our heart! 

We drink of the Spirit of Truth even if it completely contrary to what we may be feeling!  The Word of God is Truth, and Holy Spirit makes it real and powerful inside of our heart as we listen and abide with Holy Spirit!      “In His Presence is the Fullness of Joy and Pleasures forevermore, at His right hand.” Psalms 16:11.      We just keep drinking of the River of Delights, the fullness of the Father’s Love, and we will feel, manifest, and experience the substance of heaven!   SHALOM!!!!!!
